Brain Zoo Studios wants you to know that its animation work will be showcased across the show floor at this year’s E3. For instance, fans of Alpha Protocol from Sega for the PC and next-gen consoles will be treated to a cinematic showcase produced for the title. Full Story.

SEGA today announced the development of Stormrise a real time strategy game for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360. Stormrise marks The Creative Assembly’s first foray into developing a console-based RTS title . The game is slated to ship in 2009. Full Story.
Staring on Monday, July 14th, Microsoft will once again “bring it home” to fans. By “it” I mean live coverage and other extras from its E3 presence next week in Los Angeles. The company will bring content to Xbox Live members as well as Xbox.com visitors all week. Full Story.
Atari today revealed a new racing game for the PC and Xbox 360 from seasoned racing simulation developer SimBin. RACE Pro is being billed by Atari as a “ultra realistic racing video game” powered by Lizard, SimBin’s physics engine. RACE Pro also promises ultra realistic car models, coupled with official FIA championships events on licensed tracks. Full Story.
I’m shocked this didn’t happen sooner. According to a Bloomberg report Konami is suing Harmonix for patent infringement over its rock and roll game Rock Band. The patents, filed in 2002 and 2003, relate to simulated musical instruments, a music-game system and a musical-rhythm matching game, according to the report. Full Story.
Champions Online, Cryptic Studios’ rebound after its long-time marriage to City of Heroes, now has a publishers. 2K Games announced that it has secured the rights to Cryptic’s next super hero MMO, with plans to publish it in the early part of 2009 on PC and Xbox 360. Full Story.
News: Activision left the ESA because it needed some “time off,” according to Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick. In an interview with Variety’s Cut Scene Blog, Kotick said that he told current ESA president Gallagher not to view it as Activision leaving the ESA. Full Story.
Deep Silver’s first game developed specifically for release in the United States was revealed, and the company is using its own internal studio to build it - with the help of such companies as Eutechnyx, Perspective Studios, and others. Full Story.
